Winter Sleepout Appeal

13 Jun 2018
Students

MacKillop Year 12, Mini Vinnies and Mini Macks students will be organising a Winter Sleepout Appeal for Friday 29 June.

The event will be split into three main sections due to the content and focus of the each part:

Kinder-Year 6 Year 7-12 Year 10-12 only
National Pyjama Day
Primary students are
invited to come to
school dressed in
their pyjamas
for a gold coin
donation.
5pm-8.30pm
All secondary students
will be entertained
with games, music
from our students,
guest speakers and
dinner.
5pm-overnight
The last part of this event
will see these students
stay at school for a
sleepout.

The aim of this event is to raise awareness and support for children in foster care and youth suffering homelessness on the Central Coast. It is a chance for our students to come together as a community to learn what it actually means to be homeless and bust the myths surrounding the issue.

Permission notes will be sent home to both Primary and Secondary to further explain the details of the event.

DONATIONS OF CARDBOARD BOXES: If you have any excess large cardboard boxes that you no longer require, we will happily take them off your hands to be used for the evening sleepout. Donations can be handed in to the Front Office.

Primary: See Mrs Madeleine Martin for more information.

Secondary: See Mrs Michelle Baxter or Mr John McNamara for more information.
