The Song Keepers for NAIDOC Week
“An inspiring story about women, culture and song and how coming together brings strength to all.”
“What an inspiring group of aboriginal women with a common love of singing and a wonderful sense of humour. A great way to celebrate NAIDOC week”
“Funny, emotional, and honest. It truly put everything in perspective, learning about these women and their experiences.”
MacKillop Catholic College held a special screening of The Song Keepers on the evening of Wednesday 4 July, promising to be a raw and inspirational look at Indigenous women embracing their traditions through song, it certainly did not disappoint. Thank you to Mrs Marilyn Fraser, Aboriginal Education Worker, for organising this wonderful event as part of our week of NAIDOC celebrations, and thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the film.
