K&1 Athletics Fun Day

Recently, we held our Kindergarten and Year 1 Athletics Fun Day!
With a light drizzle in the morning, the weather quickly cleared up and it turned out to be quite a warm day.
The day consisted of 2 sessions, followed by a BBQ lunch.
In the first session before recess children participated in 4 event rotations;
- 100m sprint
- Frisbee throw
- 400m run
- Javelin throw
Children were awarded ribbons for the first four places in these events.
After recess we moved into a rotation of fun-filled team activities;
- Parachute
- Obstacle course
- Ball games
- Running relay
The children had so much fun & we enjoyed a sausage sizzle and popper for lunch to finish the day.
